Scottish Autotest Championship 2019

It has been a few years since there has been a Scottish Autotest Championship held, but 2019 we are planning to resurrect it in 2019. There will be 9 events during the season - 1 per month running from March - October, spread throughout Scotland, to avoid competitors travelling hundreds of miles to participate.
Registration for the championship is FREE and because the Championship is now Clubman status no competition licence is required - only a valid Club Membershsip Card from any club which is a member of the Scottish Association. Championship Regulations, which include the Registration forms, can be found on the Autotest page of the SAMSC website, along with regs for round 1.
The competitors best 5 events will count towards the overall championship, full details of the point scoring system is available in the Championship Regulations. A registered competitor who may also the organiser of an event, and so cannot compete on that, event can claim Championship points for 1 event as an Official / Marshal.

To introduce some consistency to the events it is planned to use colour coded poles/ cones as per the BTRDA events to let the competitors know which manoeuvre is required at that point to avoid confusion.

I feel the time is right to get this grassroots motorsport up and running as a national championship again, so please spread the word and encourage as many people who have never taken part in Autotests to come along.

There are a wide range of classes including a class for Hybrid / Electric Cars.

The dates and contacts for all the events are in the Championship Regs.

750 M.C. are hosting the first championship counter on Sunday 10th March,   contact for this event is Charlie Brown - Tel. 07803 296592, email charliebrown750@yahoo.co.uk, and regs can be found in the SAMSC Autotest downloads section
